Start Screen

Windows logo key opens the Start Screen.

Charms

Windows key + C — reveal the Charms.

Windows key + I — Settings Charm.

Windows key + K — Devices Charm.

Windows key + H — Share Charm.

Tools and switchers

Windows key + X — Windows Tools Menu.

Windows key + Tab — Modern app switcher. This app switcher does not include desktop apps. Only a single Desktop app will appear in this list.

Alt+Tab — traditional app switcher.

Close and screenshot

Alt+F4 — close an application. Works for both Modern apps and desktop apps.
